Ok, so 1 week of injections under the belt, ended so far with only one small brusie...why yes I think I should have been a plastic surgeon. Birth control stops this week, a little nervous, havent had much luck in the past with doing that, or should I say I've had way too much luck! Anyway, the weird patches start Feb 6, gross. Brown baind-aid like things on the body, not very appealing. Alright, well there is my surrogate updates here are a few others:

I would be lying if I said I wasnt nervous, I am. The medication, the baby, mommy and daddy to be, the hub, my kiddies....its alot. Im so thankful to be givng an opportunity such as this and am really excited to take this journey. The medication doses begin on Sunday, it will all begin to move very quickly after that. Please think of us, say a few words to the man upstairs, we are about to bring another life full of love and hope into this world and could use a few words of encouragement.

These are the words I keep repeating to myself everytime they call, or send me a package...life insurance. I absolutely had NO idea the work people put into these packages, and lets just say they are not worried about people dying from a lack of oxygen,I bet my package is about 10 trees deep. So, 30 pages of paperwork (you know,I love paperwork like I love cold weather), 30 minute phone convo, and the blood and urine samples next week. I sure do love my mommy to be, she is constantly patting my back giving me updates and reminders, and just being soo supportive. I truely am a lucky gal.

Well the weekend is long over and my travels are to an end. New York City was incrediable as always, truely the city to spend your last "ta da." As the new year takes way the days are quickly approaching where I will become the surrogate. Paper work, dates, and agreements are climbing in anticipation for this day, the day of what if, and when, and if not's become a serious thought in the front of all our brains.

With all the craziness and straightface paper work sister had to get out of town, and out of town with the besties,

Smiles and Laughter, dreams of dolohins danced in our heads.

After young and crazy, I pretended to be Anthony Bourdain for a moment eating fun stuff like Madame Croquet, Spicy Tuna Sashimi, and pickeled beet salad with de-lish goat cheese.

Ending the trip on a impressive note, the girls and I went to the fish market..4am. Oh yeah, thats in the Bronx, Fulton's has moved!

Thus being the new year I have began looking for new ideas for a little change on the home front. Inspiration, lets face it, can be found any and everywhere. Although design can be such a creative outlet I get very confused with the functuality of it all. I know alot of things are done for the mere five hour photo shoot but come on. I look at some of this photos and sites and think, "really, you must'nt have kids or a husband for that matter.

For example:

I invision red kool-aid on the carpet, a busted lip from the little one, and explosion of tacky plastic toys and the hub wondering how on earth the Sunday nap is suppose to happen on that couch.

Well Ok, I have found my new obsession. It is something very different from my normal fits of newness, it is couponing. I know right? I dont know if its the thrill or the giggle I get from saying, "yeah, I cut coupons"! It was a hobby picked up, actually months ago but after a recent TV show it has returned to the for front of my brain.
GOAL: becoming the crazy coupon lady!, no not really, I would really like to be that frugile but I know me and my level of patience only surrenders so much. So, the trip to the grocery store...its isle after isle fingering the coupons, over and over, then its checkout...the moment of truth. And what do you know..I get the sassy checkout lady and the foot tapper behind me. But thats ok because this chick saved $40. Yes, I was very happy, $40 can buy a cute top, fresh makeup, or even a vintage cake stand. No its not the $700 the lady on TV saved but come on, realistic goals is key!
After my new found love, the clipped coupon I have set a small goal, thus being to buy $100 worth of groceries but spending under $50 and donating it to the local food pantry, which happens to be across the street, score!
So, saving ever penny counts. Make it a challenge instead of chore and be proud to know that you, yes you have saved money through a simple clip or even a reusable bag (.05 per bag at my local market).
