Leaving the Old, Finding the New.

I absolutely love New Year's. Second to Christmas, it is my favorite time of year. I love fresh starts and all things new. I am that person who hates clutter, loves to rearrange, and adopt new dress styles. I am never scared of change, its an adrenaline rush to me, skip the skydiving....rearrange the living room!

This year has taught me soo many things, dealing with loss, learning to love all things, and the importance of happiness. With so many changes taking place in my life I am thrilled to what this year will bring. Goals have been set from a new diet and exercise regime to career changes (hopefully, if all goes well), and just learning and loving to be ME...oh, lets not forget carring someone else's babe.

I wish to all, a Happy New Year. Set some goals, break those goals and love it.

Small but oh so BIG.

The hub and I went shopping yesterday, and during our drive we started conversing on life and our plans for the future. We have decided that when the kiddies are grown and on their own, if ever, we would like to have a major downsize. The house we live in know isnt hugmungo but its pretty big. With five bedrooms, two baths, and about 2400 sq.ft. the requirement for cleaning is pretty steep. So look how cute.....simple and chic, exactly my style!

Now, thats a little too cozy but so cute.
Thats my type of mobile home.

Hormonious.

As soon as the new year arrives the hormones will be soon to follow.I will be on three different types of hormones, and of course birth control. If its not obvious, the plan is to make my eggs go "to sleep," and miss mother to be's to be full force, as if they were on aderol (haha, thats the image I get in my head).
Lupron, will be one of the three hormones I will endure. It is man-made and drug.com explains it as a drug that will overstimulate the body's own production of certain hormones, thus causing the body to temporarily shut down production of that hormone. So, simple terms for people like me, it reduces estrogen in women. My body will recieve this hormone through the needle. Oh yeah, I will be self injecting my belly three times a day for like three weeks!(I wonder if I should put on a few pounds for comfort). But lets not forget about mommy, she will be doing the same but for a wee bit longer. Oh motherhood.

Check Please.

Ok, the Shrink- check, the life insurance- check, blood- check, lawyer paperwork- check. So next on the list...RELAX. Yeah Right, but a girl can dream right? Everything so far has been pretty painless, its always nice when the shrink says, "approved, now will you be paying with cash or check?" Oh, and the previous mention of meaningless pictures, yeah she had one. A knob on a blue door with two surrounding pictures of gardens...what? Of course the husband went on and on about how relaxing, way to charm her.

With things moving right along I would like to calm it all down. I have come up with four ways I plan on relaxing, you should try to do the same. No one likes uptight at Christmas.

1. Exercise- It always does the body good. And if your going to do it why not kill two birds with one stone. Pilates, it works body, mind and soul!

2. Retail Therapy- need I say more.
3. Relax in a long warm bath.

4. Cook- with the one and only, my absoulte favorite...

design love.

I love interior design, I am not the best at it, but there is nothing better than walking in a home that is inventive and well put together. Your home is your calling place, your mother ship, a spot creativity calls its own. Every so often I get hooked on certain small obsessions with home design. From flower vases with floral masterpieces, to old refurbished furniture, cakes stands and so on. Right now I am really into throws. I love them! They are that finishing touch that every couch and every bed scream out for. The beauty of the throw is that they dont even have to necessarily match, just tie the look up, oh and a good cuddle companion on that lazy Sunday afternoon. These blankets no longer have to be that awkward thing bundled in the corner, oh no, look for that perfect one to diagonally drap on the corner of the bed or hang on that great chair.

Positive Reinforcement.

Ugh, I have been ridiculously busy. The Holidays are always busy, then there is the family, and the finishing touches with the upcoming events soon to take place. And ohh, lets not forget about work and all the Government what have-you's that have to be delt with. So anyway,

I have found a very interesting study on water crystals. It was done like ten years ago but its really neat, wheather its crediable or not. It starts with a man, Masaru Emoto and his study on water. So the jist of it is, he took numerous samples of tap water, each were put in an individual bottle and a sound proof room. Each bottle had a saying tapped to it and had the saying sound repeated for a set number of times. Words for the study included, "love", "thank you", and "you make me sick, i will kill you," (harsh, i know). Check out the results...

"thank you"

"you make me sick, i will kill you"

Wow, what a difference. Seeing as this is the season for new beginings and "bettering" ourselves for the upcoming year, think about this study. Remember the power of words, the body is made up of 97% of water!

Tis the Weekend.

Its official the Christmas Season is here! And I have been visited by the Ghost of Gaudy Christmas. The stockings have been hung, the ornaments scattered, and the new feather garland layed. The kids have no chance for a white christmas, but honestly I think they dig the purple, golds, and greens that adorn the house. And judging by the tacky colored Christmas lights that hang on the porch, the husband feels inspired as well. For mild backing and slight inspiration I have found Christmas decor that screams gaud while keeping the right to claim total chic-ness.

The Psych.

Next trip, off  to the shrink. This is going to be an interesting milestone in my life. I invision a small square room (hospital grey walls, gross), pictures of anything having to do with nothing, no music and the four of us. The oven, the maintence man (my husband), the sperm donor and the mother to be. And then its the questions...so awkward! The one thing holding me together, at this point, is the fact that the four of us are so close. There is more love between us than many people in our situation have the opportunity to posses.

Processing this whole adventure has made me grow in curiousity with the word lighthearted and its official meaning. Webster describes this word as: free from care, cheerfully optomistic and hopeful. That is the exact attitude I plan on attacking this situation with. So at anytime you feel Im not being serious or taking this situation lightly, your exactly right.

An interesting point I learned with the meaning of this word, lighthearted, is the synonyms that go along with it. Debonair (a word that deserves a cig and a black Burberry trench), devil- may-care (yeah, I was shocked this was a word), and slaphappy (no comment).

Please read the following with a LIGHTHEART!

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous- everyone hasnt met me.

OMG HIV.

So, next on the list of things to do: the dreaded HIV test. Although I have had this with both of my past pregnancies, they totally stress me out. I respect the medical community and trust them, well lets face it, with my life, but there is still that weariness. I have birthed two children and have had alot of blood drawn, so that leaves me to believe there is that tiny possibility of a dirty needle and what have you. Its like cancer- if you have it do you really want to know? Well Ive always said that NO, tell me when I'm lying in the bed wondering what the little bright light is, lets just make sure Im in something cute....go out with a BANG! (preferably clutched to the new Fendi handbag and Christian Loubitan booties).

Merry Pickle!

I think its obvious that I pride myself on friends and family, so Christmas is a HUGE deal. With family comes tradition and with all the new adventures taking place in this life of mine I have decided to start a new Christmas tradition. It may be old news to some but it is something so new to me, the pickle ornament. The story goes a little something like this (well the one im using anyway):
The fab Christmas tree is glitz and glammed ending with the last ornament, the pickle. It is tucked deep within the tree, hidden to the naked eye. Christmas morning the lucky one who finds this ornament is left an extra little gift from ol St. Nick. One story I strolled across said it to be an act for the children to notice and appreciate the tree for all its beauty instead of racing for the presents, however I doubt that will be the case for my two girls but they are digging the new tradition and the pickle that will soon be placed upon our tree.

The hydro...

After the intial consultation, its time to check me out. This is where the hydrosonogram comes to play. This is an ultrasound that checks out the uterus. Because of certain procedures, I will refrain from major details, ladies I think you know what I mean. It wasnt the most pleasent thing , but it really wasnt that bad. Lets just say it was better than having my eyebrows threaded in the middle of a busy mall!In the end Doc. Serg said I had a beautiful uterus, a compliment you dont get every day. So Smile, and let the games begin.
( And no, this is not my uterus....its compliments of Google)

In the Begining...

First things first, I have decided to become a surrogant mother, yes I know. There are two people in my life that I hold very dear in my heart and feel this is the most efficient way to show them how much I care. I understand it will be a long process with emotions running rampid. Thus, bringing us to this blog. I have decided through this journey I will write! I will write about all things....from my experiences to things that make me happy. Please enjoy as we go down this road, you know the one we call life.
